Given that the Kingdom of Bahrain, in its pursue to achieve the above stated objective, drives from two primary resources, vis. Islam and the Arabic character, Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Center was established with the mission of reflecting and promoting this objective. The Kingdom of Bahrain is very proud of the fact that it is the first territory outside the mainland of Arabian Peninsula to peacefully accept and embrace Islam, when Abu Al-Ala’a Al – Hadhrami, arrived in Bahrain in the eight century after Al-Hijrah, carrying a letter from the Messenger of God, Mohammed (PBUH), to Al-Mondhir Bin Sawa Al-Tamimi, the king of Bahrain inviting him to adopt Islam. The king consulted with the heads of the tribes and they unanimously agreed to accept the Prophet’s invitation and adopt Islam, thus highlighting a unique and distinguished stance in the Islamic history.

Ten centuries later, in 1783, the hero Ahmed Al-Fateh, re-conquered Bahrain and returned to these old islands their Arab character.
